So, this is my first post. I guess ill just show off how I have my phone setup as of right now. Just a little info on what my taste is like. I like very simple design. I wouldn’t go as far as to call it minimalist but I do like very minimal information on my screen while still being enough to be useful. I really like the color black combined with pretty much any other color. Also, obsessed with wallpapers. I love wallpapers. Did I mention that I like wallpapers? Anyway, I probably change my wallpaper more often than anything else on my phone. Anyway, ill show you some pictures now.

So, as you can see, I like to keep it somewhat simple. I only have 3 homescreens. The one on the left is my Google Calender. I find that it works really well. This is a Launcher Pro widget. On the right we have my Twitter feed. Its not as nice as a full featured Twitter app such as Seesmic but it does the job. I have it set to auto update every 15 minutes so that it wont kill my battery. It has three different buttons on the top right. One if for my Twitter feed, one if for direct messages, and the last if for private messages.

Over on the center we have the most used home screen. At the top we have the clock widget from Beautiful Widgets. I applied the “Matted Blues” theme to it. Its very useful. Tapping on the hour on the clock will bring up alarms allowing me to set/delete them. Tapping on the date will bring up the calender. Lastly, tapping on the weather will bring up the 5 day forecast. This might be my favorite widget since it pack so much stuff in one neat, nice looking 4×2 widget. Under that are my 8 most used apps. Pretty explanatory why. On the dock from left to right we have: Phone, Google Voice, App Drawer, Gmail, and Dolphin Browser.

I already showed you guys my primary home screen. I also mentioned what happens when you tap on the weather from the clock. The middle image is what pops up. It shows up in a really neat semi-transparent animation that is unobtrusive. It doesn’t open up a different app. You just tap on the screen to get rid of it or you tap on the weather again to get more information about the weather through the browser.

The last image on the right is my notification bar. The control widgets up top were possible because im running CyanogenMod 7. I find it really useful. No need to go digging through the settings. From left to right: Wifi, 4G, Hotspot, Flashlight, Play/Pause. I cant tell you how much time I have saved because of these widgets. Its not that these tasks take a long time to switch on and off, its just that these widgets are so easy to toggle on and off. I can be in my internet browser and turn any of these on or off without ever exiting the app. Its pretty awesome.

Another thing that I love about running CyanogenMod is how easy it is to change the brightness settings. Its kind of a hidden feature. What you do is you slide your finger left or right on the notification bar without bringing it down. Just let it hover at the top. Its kinda hard to explain. It took me a while to figure it out. The best I can do is just pretend that the black notification bar at the top is a slide toggle like you would find in settings. Once you figure out how to use it it becomes super useful.

These are the Launcher Pro preview screens and app drawer. Nothing too special but I think they make my phone a little more fun to use. To bring up the preview screen just use a pinch to zoom out gesture on the home screen. That will bring up the first picture. Then you can choose which home screen you want to navigate to.

The second picture is of the app drawer. Again, nothing special but it does look pretty. You need to activate this within the Launcher Pro settings. It makes your app drawer look like a conveyor belt.

Lastly is the dialer screen. This is an Ice Cream Sandwich styled one. Its very simple but also packed with shortcuts. From here you can make a call, add a contact, remove a contact, view contacts, view the call log, and view the favorites.

Thats pretty much it for this post. Ill list below most of the themes/skins/widgets that I used for this theme.

CyanogenMod 7

Launcher Pro with Ice Cream Sandwich theme. <—I think thats the ICS theme, not 100% sure.
